I have been so busy today with Teacher Appreciation Week. This morning, we delivered the bottles of water and lemonade packets to all the school staff. Everyone loved getting the waters...I mean, how can you go wrong?!!
Tomorrow, we are giving out school supplies to all the main teachers, plus candy to everyone else. Our teachers love candy, so we know that will be a hit! We had received several boxes of school supplies from Staples, so we divided it up and decided this would be a gift for each classroom and each main teacher. In addition, we had the below letter of appreciation printed up on that great shiny paper. We had gotten a whole box of large envelopes, so last Friday when parents were in charge of the lunchroom, I had them pass around the envelopes and some pens so that each class could sign their name to their teachers envelope. With this letter inside, I thought it might make a nice keepsake for those teachers who like that sort of thing.
Along with the kids signatures, some of them wrote notes like the one above...it says, "Thank you for encouraging me to do mah best. I want to make u proud". Some have pictures, some have rhymes, and some have math problems on them. But each envelope fits the teachers job.
Another parent who owns their own business is donating gift bags for every teacher and staff member. All the school supplies we received will be in the teacher's bags along with candy for every staff member. We hope that every teacher and staff will feel our appreciation!
What a great idea! I bet the teachers will love it! New follower from MBC, I look forward to your future posts!
