Thankful Thursday

When you have children, trips to the doctor's office tends to multiply. Over the past year, Lindsey has had tennis elbow from playing piano; Jonah has switched allergist 3 times, been to specialists at the hospital for his asthma; and Ethan has had his standard round of weekly visits with the assigned specialists.

On top of everything, our insurance company changed and I had a whole new system to learn. The bills have been piling up as I've been trying to get details worked out...what they will pay, what requirements have been met, what has been approved/not approved, etc.

Recently, I finally waded through all the bills we've gathered for the last couple of months, figured out the fine print, and wrote the last of the checks.

But it won't be long before things those doctor's bills start rolling in again. That's just the way our life seems to go...

  1. Can I get an Amen? Amen! The funny thing is...my husband probably doesn't even know their doctors names, much less who takes what med when.

    1. Oh, mine definitely doesn't! Anytime I might be away during medicine time, he complains that if anything every happened to me, he would never know what to give them when! I made a whole list somewhere on my computer of all our doctors, who takes what and how often...so it's there!

  2. Definitely an amen here. I switched from a high deductible plan this year. Before I was on it we hardly ever went to the doctor. As soon as we switched we were constantly there. It's a no-win situation!

    1. I hate dealing with insurance. It's like a circle of endless paperwork and phone calls. I had one bill refused simply because it had been a year since I had confirmed my address! Uh, I got the bill didn't I?!!
