Mr. Sandman, did you forget me?

Dear Mr. Sandman,

We have had an off and on relationship for many years now, but lately I thought we had been getting along fairly well. You would visit, I would fall asleep...in fact, sometimes I slept more than others in our house. But last night, I think you forgot about me!

I went to bed with thoughts of kids and school and lunchboxes on my mind...depending on you to spread that magic dust that takes me to dreamland. But instead, I got...well, nada!! I tossed, I turned, moved my pillow here and there...one leg in, one leg out...was I too hot? was I too cold? But whatever I tried, I could not find you to help me sleep!

And don't believe the story my hubby tells of me actually falling asleep...snoring, none the less! He even says I kicked him!! Well, that just doesn't sound like me at all!

I really hope that you can fit me in your schedule tonight. A busy mom like me doesn't do very well without sleep...at least 6 hours, ok? That's not too much to ask, is it?

Seriously, I don't have to make a visit to your frenemy....sleeping pills! Because those NEVER let me down!!

  1. Ugh, I hear you when it comes to sleep. It is beyond frustrating when you don't sleep well. This is a constant struggle for me as well. How did it happen? I used to sleep soooo well. Sigh, here's to a good night's sleep for both of us :)
