I took this picture yesterday in my neighborhood. It is a beautiful house that is being demolished. The house had caught fire a year or so ago. It sat forever with nothing happening. Just the windows boarded up, and looking very vacant. But the other day, I had driven down that street and saw the bulldozers at work. It's kind of sad to see such a beautiful home being knocked down, but I think it must have been so badly damaged on the interior that it could not be saved. I think about all the cabinets, moldings, the staircase...all those things that people love to salvage.
Hopefully, some of those items were saved before being bulldozed!
Oh, that's such a shame! I hope the family that owned it has been able to find a new place to live.
