100 Day Kit

When you first hear those words, "your child has autism," it can feel like the world has stopped. It is hard to hear anything else that is said because your mind is racing with thoughts: what is going to happen now? how am I going to do this? what about my child? Those first couple of weeks and months are hard to get through...and I found a great resource that can help you.

Autism Speaks has put together a 100 Day Kit, made specifically for newly diagnosed families. you can download this kit and all the information for free. Some of the PDF's included are:

• 10 Things Every Child with Autism Wishes you Knew
• A Week by Week Plan for the Next 100 Days
• Useful Forms: this includes contact lists, a phone log, assessment tracking, and IEP Goals

If your child has been diagnosed with Autism within the last 6 months, you can receive a hard copy of this kit by calling 888-AUTISM2. Or, you can call an Autism Team Coordinator and arrange to pick your up at a local Fed-Ex.
